Karen earned a bachelor’s degree in Health Science, with a focus on public health, and a Master’s of Public Administration. She has an extensive record of public service including her current service on the Springville Planning Commission, service on the Board of Adjustment, chairmanship on the Springville Library Board of Directors, president of the Springville/Mapleton PTA council overseeing all elementary school PTA’s in the area, and other various leadership roles. Karen is an active member of the Utah County Republican Party and previously worked in the Provo City Mayor’s office helping to develop and implement the popular "Provology 101" a citizen education program and other citywide projects. She lives in Springville with her husband Brent, where they have and continue to raise their family.
